Dr. Eleni Gentekaki from Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai, Thailand visited University of Kent between the 1st and 18th of July 2016.
During this period, Dr. Tsaousis and Dr. Gentekaki engaged in several activities including grant writing, data analysis, visiting local institutions and collecting faecal samples (see photos below).

Dr. Gentekaki also attended the graduation ceremony of the School of Biosciences at the Canterbury Cathedral along with Prof. Joel Dacks from the University of Alberta, Edmonton (Canada).
On her last weekend in Canterbury, we organised a mini gathering of protistologists, where Dr. Sonja Rueckert (Napier Edinburgh University, Scotland), Dr. Joel Dacks (University of Alberta, Canada) and Dr. David Montagnes (University of Liverpool, England) attended. The gathering entailed foods, drinks and plenty of brainstorming for current and future projects.
